about

I’m currently a software engineer at a New York City based startup, Project Florida, where we are working at the nexus of technology and preventative healthcare.

Previously, I was a software engineer for the digital advertising agency R/GA. My principle focus was on building iOS applications, including Nike+ GPS (now Nike+ Running) and Nike+ FuelBand.

Personally, I have a strong interest in mobile platforms and data visualization. I earned a Masters Degree in Interactive Telecommunications from ITP at New York University in May 2010, and have been known, at times, as a designer and educator. Each of these roles informs the others and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

The most actively updated section of the site is the blog. More formal work can be found in the section. Syllabi from various design and media classes I’ve taught at several universities and colleges in the greater Philadelphia area, including The College of New Jersey, Temple University, University of the Arts and Moore College of Art and Design are available under teaching. Past professional work, primarily motion graphics, DVD authoring and multimedia programming services, is accessible at my former freelancing site recvdproductions.com. I’m currently interested in exploring tangible interfaces and am working on several iPhone development projects.
